Boppaloo Privacy Policy
The short version
- Boppaloo has no accounts and no sign-in. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or photos.
- Your progress is saved only on your phone. We don't have a server that stores it.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google collects some device data to deliver those ads, as explained below.
- Children get only child-safe, non-personalised ads, and never see a tracking consent form.
Data kept on your device
The game saves on your phone: level progress, stars, scores, coins, hats, daily streaks, sound and language settings, and the answer to the one-time age question. It does not store your birth year, only an age group (under 13, 13 to 17, or 18 and over). If you skip the question, the game treats you as under 13. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
Ads (Google AdMob)
Boppaloo is free and shows ads through Google AdMob: optional videos you can choose to watch for a reward, and occasional full-screen ads between levels. To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google's software in the game may collect:
- approximate location, worked out from your IP address;
- device identifiers such as the advertising ID and the app set ID;
- device and app information (model, operating system, language);
- how you interact with ads, and crash and performance diagnostics.
How the game asks for ads depends on the age group:
- Under 13, or no answer: ad requests are marked as directed to children (COPPA) and to users under the age of consent (GDPR). Ads are not personalised and are limited to content rated G.
- 13 to 17: ads are not personalised and are limited to content rated G.
- 18 and over: ads are limited to content rated G. Where the law requires it (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Google's consent form asks before any personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time under Language → Ad privacy choices in the game.
Google's use of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone's settings under Google → Ads.
Reminders
If you allow notifications, the game schedules friendly reminders (for example, that today's Daily Conga is ready) on your phone. They are created on the device; no notification data is sent to us.
Children
Boppaloo is made for players of all ages and follows the Google Play Families Policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads shown to children are child-directed, not personalised, and rated G, using an ad network certified for families. Parents who have questions can write to support@cogsprite.com.
Purchases
The game has no in-app purchases at the moment. If we add any (for example, removing ads), payments will be handled entirely by Google Play, and this policy will be updated.
Deleting your data
Because your game data is stored only on your phone, you can delete all of it at any time by either:
- uninstalling Boppaloo, or
- opening Settings → Apps → Boppaloo → Storage → Clear storage on your phone.
We do not hold a copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side. For data Google collects for ads, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads, and manage your Google data at myaccount.google.com. If you'd like help, email support@cogsprite.com and we'll reply within 30 days.
Security
All ad traffic from the game is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). The game does not ask for any permission to read your files, contacts, camera, microphone or precise location.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the game handles data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change reaches players. On 9 October 2026 we changed the contact address to support@cogsprite.com; nothing else changed.
